#58 Free yourself. Shift your identity.

Have you been feeling the need to shed your old identity? Is it time to reimagine what you value and free yourself from limiting beliefs?


Train yourself like an athlete to reinvent your life. By developing a clear roadmap and using visualization techniques to embody what you want, the results will happen.


These two secrets hold the codes to moving past limiting beliefs and fear. They are no longer needed to keep you safe.


Re-evaluate what’s working and what needs to be improved upon. It’s time to liberate the way you’ve been called to live the life you want.


We know when we hold ourselves back, we’re allowing stress to go into hyperdrive. This creates chronic stress that causes long-term damage.


Typically transformations can take months to a year to complete. But that depends on how willing we’re ready to embrace change.


A scientific study monitored brain activity of three groups of 30 young healthy individuals to see the function of the mind-body connection. 


The first group was trained to do mental exercises for one area of the body. The second group was trained to do mental exercises for different areas of the body. A third group was not trained but engaged in all activities to serve as a control group. 


And a final group actually was trained to perform the activities. All brain activity was measured.


The results where mental training was included, there was a 13.5% increase in strength. 


Since we use our bodies everyday to move, being able to visual our actions beforehand will give us an advantage. 


Athletes do this all the time. EVERY TIME.

There are two secret ingredients that need to be incorporated along with the practical mapping out of a vision. 


First: Get clear on what you want. 


You want a better life, but you don’t know where to start or what that looks like. 


Another study done in 2017 found that two-thirds of Americans don’t know how to plan for their life. They’ll spend more time planning a one week vacation that is more important to them than real goals for their life.


Too many choices, too many decisions and then the dreaded imposter syndrome kicks in…so it’s easier to escape. 


But if you’re feeling like the same year keeps happening over and over again, it’s time to put pen to paper. Let’s make this an easy and fun exercise.


Imagine three new things you’d like to change, alter or improve in your life. Whatever degree that means for you. Try one small change, one medium alteration and one large improvement. 


Now write down what a day would look like with those three new things you’ve identified now in your life. Everything else is the same. Get as detailed as you can in how those changes will look and feel in your life.


Second: Visualize what your life will look like.


Re-read all that you wrote down. Sit with that vision and mentally move through the day and visualize those changes. But not only do you visualize them, here’s the real secret, feel them.


Feel how those shifts will change your emotions. Embody how much better you’ll feel when they’re incorporated into your.


We can embody our vision therefore we have to feel this change, not just let it live in the mind. Let the heart drive and work through all of the energy centers running through the body. Be in alignment to move towards this change.


Bonus: Visualize something different? 

Rewrite your script to match what you visualized. And updated your written version. Do this every morning or right before you go to bed.


You’ll be building the mental strength to make the changes with ease. By the results of that scientific study, this will increase your chances by 13.5%.
